Are you ready for the 2013 data journalism awards?
Want to compete with your peers for the best 2013 data journalism project? It’s time to apply! Data Journalism Awards 2013 website is open at: http://www.globaleditorsnetwork.org/dja/

In 2012, 286 projects competed from 51 countries in the world. One hundred sixteen projects came from Europe and 80 from North America. One hundred seven projects were in data visualization and storytelling. You can be your own team, like 87 people in 2012, or gather a large one of 30 people like was the largest team in 2012.

A total of 15,000 euros in prizes are available this year, in four categories: Data-driven investigative journalism: using data to uncover facts, Data storytelling (text, visualization, video…), Data-driven applications (mobile or web): serving data to your public, and Data journalism website or section.

To check the rules of engagement and apply, just go to: http://www.globaleditorsnetwork.org/dja/submit-your-work/

The award ceremony will take place on June 20th during GEN News Summit in Paris, France. You can register and study the convention’s program at: http://www.globaleditorsnetwork.org/gen2013/
