Hans Rosling is playing with boxes to tell us a new story

Posted on Monday, January 28th 2013

You know Hans Rosling’s BBC presentation inherited from TED. We all love it! That’s why I used an image from this show to create the banner of DataStorytelling.TV home page.
But even without Gapminder, Hans Rosling is a born storyteller. And I want to share with you another presentation he gave at TEDx in Cannes, France in 2010. It’s always a story of population and money, but he is now playing with plastic boxes. And each box is for 1 billion people on earth.
During the story you will see how boxes can visually become bar charts… and you will perhaps have the answer to the major question “Who will build the next 4 billion pairs of sandals, or will not?”…
